Curiosity is the desire to know or learn. This body of work is an understanding of this need to know and comments on the impulse to look. In the shroud of privacy, the true essence of a person's being is put on display, free of judgment from the outside world. This idea is illustrated by using sculpture and audio to act as triggers to capture attention from viewers and prompt them to look inside a structure. I use the structure of the home because it acts as a facade that activates a space, separating the interior from the exterior and giving freedom to an individual to make a choice to engage a personal space. Given that no one knows what happens behind a closed door, there then exists an impulse to look, to see out of not knowing – My intention is to engage viewers by presenting them with the personal choice of judging from the outside.
