What's A House Hold
Curiosity is the desire to know or learn. My work is an understanding of this need to know and comments on the impulse to look. In the shroud of privacy, the true essence of a person's being is put on display, free from judgment of the outside world. I illustrate this idea by using sculpture and audio to act as triggers to capture attention from viewers and prompt them to look inside a structure. I use the structure of the home because it acts as a façade that activates a space, separating the interior from the exterior and giving freedom to an individual where his most personal moments can be engaged. Given that no one knows what happens behind a closed door, there then exists an impulse to look, to see out of not knowing – engaging viewers by presenting them with the personal choice of judging from the outside.
